Growing individually within a strong framework

Stepping Stones preschools offers a well-rounded curriculum based on the common educational foundation as well as the six curriculum themes from the Danish strengthened pedagogical curriculum. Stepping Stones preschool focuses on the importance of meeting each child as an individual, which develops in their own special way, and we see the child’s unique potential for processing information in specific ways. Our approach to education caters to each child’s interests and learning styles.

Where Curiosity Leads the Way

We provide a rich environment and a variety of educational choices to help children direct, develop and expand their own interests and unique talents. In addition, we support children in making their own choices both individually and as a group. We see education as a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being. It is not acquired by just hearing words, but by experiences in which the child interacts with its environment. This joy of discovery caused by doing and exploring develops a strong foundation for the child’s self-esteem.

I would highly recommend any child that would like to have an international exposure to enroll in this school.
"Stepping stones in Charlottenlund has the most caring, patient and kind teachers. They are superb!! It is an international school with high standards of teachers. My child started in stepping stone at the age of 2.5 years old and we were very concerned at that time as she was not speaking at the age of 2. After 6 months in stepping stones polar bears(1-3 years old class) , she started to speak a lot and in complete sentences. She will impress us with new words every other day and completed potty training before 3 years old. They always having lots of outings, e.g. park, train station, etc. The polar bears(1-3 years old) teachers, Delfi, Danai, Cata and Azul, are simply loving and amazing, making all children felt loved and happy.

My child then moved to the older class when she was 3 years old, the teachers in tigers are also amazing making the transition as smooth as possible. She is absolutely happy in the school and I would highly recommend any child that would like to have an international exposure to enroll in this school."

This is the best kindergarten in Copenhagen, I can only recommend it!
"This is the best kindergarten in Copenhagen, I can only recommend it! When our family arrived in Denmark I visited many places, but Stepping Stones was absolutely the best, by far.

The place is very clean, organized, safe for the kids (there are always many teachers around, the kids are NEVER alone/unattended) and very cozy. It was the perfect welcoming place for both our daughters, at the time 5 and 1 year old. The oldest one learned how to speak English perfectly in 3 months (from scratch), thanks to Stepping Stones great teachers and because it's such an international environment with kids from all over the world. It's not only a welcoming place for kids, but also for parents.

We could build great friendships there, a real community that helps each other, which is so important when living abroad. Thank you, Stepping Stones and all the families, you are amazing!"

My little girl has been attending daycare for 5 months. I wholeheartedly recommend this institution.
"My little girl has been attending daycare for 5 months. She really likes going there, and at home, she pretends to pack up and go to daycare on her own.

She is surrounded by a supportive environment and dedicated teachers and participates in various development programs every day.

At the beginning, she didn’t know English at all, but now she understands what they say and learns the language effortlessly through songs and games. Education on room cleanliness has also been carried out with excellent cooperation. I wholeheartedly recommend this institution."

Both our daughters have loved this nursery / pre-school!
"Both our daughters have loved this nursery / pre-school! Especially when arriving to a new country, finding the right place where your little ones feel safe and happy is so important. And we found just that place in Stepping stones.

The teachers care deeply about every child personally, the environment is friendly, encouraging natural curiosity and growth.

If you are looking for a place that your kids will love going to and you will feel at peace knowing they are not only looked after, but thriving, then this is it. (we have experienced both the toddler 1-3 YO and the pre-schooler 3-6 YO groups and have had equally positive experience)."

Our experience has been exceptional, we highly recommend this preschool.
"My kid joined the nursery when she was one year old, and the teachers’ commitment, care and professionalism made the transition so natural and so loving that our parental hearts knew that this was THE PLACE where we felt confident to leave our little one for the day.

The teachers are very engaged and warm, and the school provides a diverse educational curriculum and nurturing environment so that my kid never wants to leave it. The preschool facilities are clean and cosy. Our experience has been exceptional, we highly recommend this preschool."

My son has been going to this nursery for 1 year. It is definitely a peaceful and fun school.
"My son has been going to this nursery for 1 year. We first chose the school and then settled in that area because school is very important for us, and now we are very happy because it is a boutique school and all the staff are very educated.

Their priority is always not to shake the child's self-confidence and to show respect as an individual. For example, all teachers communicate with the children at eye level and calmly as much as possible. It is definitely a peaceful and fun school."

The teachers make the children feel that every child is special.
"A school that gives importance to the well-being of children as much as it gives importance to their nutrition. The teachers make the children feel that every child is special."

Curious minds, confident steps

Preschool-age children are very active and curious, and they learn with every experience and play opportunity. In fact, the most important learning that takes place in this stage of development comes through play and ‘hands-on’ activities. Children use many different ways to show their understanding and express their thoughts and creativity.

They express themselves through drawing, building, dance and movement, painting, sculpting, pretend play, modelling and music. It is important that we give them enough opportunities to express themselves. By incorporating these activities in our curriculum, we are encouraging their learning and development. Something very important in our daily approach to education is that learning and play are not separated.
